Just because we give you our E-Mail address does not
mean that we are requesting to be placed on your
"E-Mail Jokes Distribution Lists" ! Have you noticed, I don't send "you"
any JOKES ?
I don't send you "ANYTHING" "FORWARDED".
--- FORWARDING e-mail JOKES is the worlds largest contributor to slowing down the Internet.
--- FORWARDING Religious and Political e-mail is not desired. Your not going to save the world.
--- FORWARDING e-mail is ok if someone asks you to forward such to them.
--- FORWARDING e-mail is how Viruses get spread to millions every day.
--- FORWARDING e-mail is a lack of good internet ethics.
--- FORWARDED e-mail is not enjoyable when clicking through repeated attachments.
--- FORWARDED e-mail is not enjoyable when you have already received it from others.
--- FORWARDED e-mail..... Definition: An e-mail resent by others and not by the originator.

Did you ever take a good long look at the Jokes
that you're forwarding in E-Mail? Did you ever think about
the fact that people who have been on the Internet a lot
longer than you, have already seen most of these jokes
already? Its true. Most of the jokes that you send, or
"forward", roll around the Internet in cycles, much like a
bad penny. Remember..... This is how you found the
joke that you want to send to everybody. "And, you will
see these same jokes when they come back to you too"! Jokes,
Virus Warnings Hoaxes, pyramid schemes, and the worst
of'em all.... the ones that say "this will bring good
luck to you if you forward this letter to (several) of
your friends". These are all harmful acts and heres why.
Now, FORWARDING...... forwarding somebody's e-mail (or jokes)
is how so many people come in contact with viruses. People
just like yourself have very good intentions when sending a
good joke, and they usually want to share the laughs and spread
cheer. The problem is, (READ THIS PART CAREFULLY) when you get a
virus, you usually don't know that you have it, untill after you
have already got it. Yes, it's true.
If you don't have a current and Updated virus detect program with
the latest virus files, (and most people don't) you are asking for
trouble. MOST people don't know if their virus protect program is
protecting them or even working properly. Do you? As strange as it
may seem, These are almost always, the people that are forwarding
jokes with viruses and they "don't know" that they are spreading
havoc and chaos. Think about this.... If your virus detect program
is working properly, you would not be transfering or more specifically,
"FORWARDING" anybody's viruses to all your friends and relatives in
your e-mail. This is a strong indicator when the Next Day, your
computer will not Boot Up or start running properly.
Some of the latest viruses take names from your ADDRESS BOOK and send
bits & pieces of your personal documents (or e-mails) to others.
Often, people take their computers to repair shops to be repaired
frequently, when they simply have a virus.
In Short, Don't fall prey to these Internet Weaknesses! Most of all,
please don't attempt to discredit "MY" Integrity with Junkmail like
this specifically with the content of JOKES, RELIGION, POLITICS and
PROPAGANDA. These practices are almost certainly UNWANTED unless someone
has personally asked you to send them the above. Most Religious and
Political documents are created for people to "jump on the Band Wagon"
and spread the word of what an individual has typed. For the religious
Truth, read the Bible. For the political truth, become an official
Politition. After all, the internet documents are always someone elses
interpretation of what ever he or she belives at the time and is also
simply more of the "word play" on your mind that is notorious of Internet.
Besides, We usually have our own sources for all of these.

"Send this e-mail to (any number) of your friends because it will bring you Good Luck!"
(sometimes stated, within several hours or days)
The #2 DUMB'est Phrase found on the internet:
"Check this out.... It can't hurt!" "(Company name goes here) is testing a new E-MAIL TRACKING SYSTEM and they are giving away ("X" amount of dollars or Software or even candy) if you will just send this e-mail to all of your friends."
Folks... get real! These companies are in the business to make money.... not give it away! Besides, their investors would probably frown on this action with their investment..... And, there are NO real tracking devices or tracking software for E-mail. Why? There is no demand for something that is not needed.
The #3 DUMB'est Phrase found on the internet:
"WARNING, This is real! Send all of your friends an E-Mail and warn them about this!"
If these Warnings were a real threat to everybody, we would hear about them in the Radio & Tv News...... and even that is very questionable much of the time.
Ok.... So, come on.... give us all a break. These things are "childs play" and as you too will (or should) see, these things really don't happen. Think about it.... Beware....

If you do this, your Personal Address Book is NO LONGER PERSONAL.....
Did you ever think about all the Addresses in the
"Address Headers" (Upper part of your e-mail) of all
your E-Mail? Every e-mail has the mailing address of all
of the other people that you sent it to. You may not see
it but your friends know its there and they know how to
find all of them. Yes, your children, parents, sisters and
relitaves addresses are there. All of the jokes that you
forward have this information in them. These are the jokes
that you want everybody you know to see? Yes, thats
right! There are people around the Internet that are
trying to make a dollar anyway they can by collecting
all of the E-Mail addresses they can so they can send
everybody "Junkmail" (SPAM) in an attempt to sell you something.
This is another way for viruses to propagate. You can help
prevent much of this from happening and at
the same time, You can keep your friends from being annoyed
with the E-Mail you send because of all of those other
peoples addresses that you see first before you can read
what the letter is really about.
Now.... "Forwarding E-Mail" sends the Addresses of EVERYBODY
who has forwarded that E-Mail. Also.... When you send a
Joke to a friend... Whoa! You say, "I want to send it to
EVERYBODY that is in my "Address Book".... Well, all
those addresses in your "Personal Address Book".... Just
went out to the world! And your friends do Mass Mailings
of Jokes too... So... Your address book just went 50 fold
in No Time and then More! This is a Flag to be concerned
with also. Look up "SPAM" in your search engines.

Attachments that are Soooo needless.....
What about those Little Icons in your mail pages
that tells you that there is a file attached?
Sometimes this is the joke which is text only, that
could have been sent to you WITHOUT using a "File
Attachment". So you say,.... "Yes, sometimes when I get
the Icon, or File attachment, I click on it and get
another Icon on a another page just like it, so I click
on that one and get another just like it again and so-on
& so-on repeating the the same page with nothing on it
..... so Out of FRUSTRATION, I exit out & read the rest
of my mail".
[Now... are you getting the message? Yes, Thats right!
Many of the people are not reading or
seeing your e-mail
because of the NEEDLESS, TIME CONSUMING way that you sent
it.]
Well, to continue, You may have to keep clicking
on these little icons until you finally get whatever it
is that the sender is sending if by then you really want
to see it bad enough. The problem is.... The "sender" or
the "forwarder". Whats happening is...... the person
that is sending you the E-Mail is clicking "FORWARD"
from the top of the Screen with the E-Mail that you want
to send "Highlighted" BUT NOT OPENED! Now.... If you
double click on the E-Mail that you want to send, just
like you would if you wanted to read it, you could send
the E-Mail at this point and the person receiving it,
would not need to click on those little Icons
(Icons usually looking like little envelopes or paperclips). So...
why not keep it simple for those on the other end.
Also... Here's another great and appreciated tip..... when you
send or forward the original document, (AFTER you click
"Forward" or "Reply") you can "Highlight" all of those
addresses & Extra stuff that is not the main content of
the body of the E-Mail, (Highlight it Like in CUT & PASTE)
and hit the "Delete Button" on your keyboard and it will
delete whatever you highlighted, or the "UNWANTED TEXT"
of headers & addresses that you marked. Note: If you make
a mistake with what you deleted, just exit out & start
over... Nothing is saved unless you tell it to do so.

And we didnt have any problems.....
Ok... A few years ago, a comedian (Jeff Foxworthy) said,
"For all STUPID PEOPLE, each would be given a sign to
wear around their neck which would say "I'M STUPID".
This was done to alert the non-stupid people around
them..... Now,.... When year 2000 came along and nothing
different happened, Sears and many other retail stores
were replicating this scenario but instead of giving
these people a sign, they were charging them a 25%
"restock" fee when they returned their "portable generators",
"storage buildings" and such that they obviously didn't
need. Now they can just feel the part as their wallets
shrink......

Would you like to know more about "Cookies"? Some people don't know what cookies are, others don't know their computers are automatically accepting them. There are many questions and answers about cookies and by clicking the link below you too may find some interesting information and ways to stop others from automatically telling how many times you frequent their site. Oh... And by the way, when you see the "accept & reject" window, and it tells you that your page may not be viewed properly, Dont put any stock on how its going to be viewed. 99% of the time it has no effect on how its viewed. Misc. info. on my web pages.... I don't practice many of the Big Whiz-Bang Super Graphics at the present time because there are still many people out there who still operate 486 computers and old, weak, pentium computers with not much Punch built inside them.... Therefore, I would like for those people to be able to visit my pages and enjoy themselves just like the Big Guns do. The way I achieve this is "not" to see how many Bells & Whistles I can pack into one page. I will not use extensive JAVA SCRIPT or FRAMES on any of the pages I create! Why?
Java.... many browsers and computers do not see this code as "user friendly" all the time, ESPECIALLY AOL. Java uses more memory to operate & in many cases brings your computer to its knees. People with Business pages want their pages to be very attractive, to the point, and sell a product or service... not advertise fancy graphics and to lock up their system or someone else's so the prospective customer will never return to that page. If they have a particular interest in the code, then I'll use it.
Frames.... are 2 or more pages that are assembled inside one page. Yes, thats right. The typical monitor has enough room to display one page with everything that can be put in there and can even scroll. So, if you put several pages into one, then you are "minimizing" the area that you want your viewers to see and causing cramped frame space.... all for "bells & whistles".
Yes, it is common knowlege that most people prefer to not use Frames. Dont just take my word for it... Ask around. There are Nice things to point out in the above also... But they are still not necessary.

Another bad trick is for a web page builder to build his pages and photos on a huge scale or page format. Thats why you have to scroll the picture to the right just to see all of it. Only a few people can see this format & the others don't like it because it makes all of their ICONS, text & pictures much smaller making details hard to see. The nice thing is, if you know what you are doing, you can make the web pages look great on whatever screen resolution anybody is using. There are just people that are not professional page builders and we understand.

AOL USERS.... Many "Java Script" photos & graphics on a web site can not be seen by AOL Users . Why? Some AOL users do not use Internet Explorer or Netscape Browsers. Also.... Some E-Mailed pictures sent by all other ISP (Internet Service Providers) users to an AOL user, can not be seen by AOL users. (Sorry, this is just AOL) If I can ever find out why, I will post the cure here because I have many AOL friends that would like to know how to see their friends photos too from other ISP's.

Folks..... The dreaded e-mail Usually Titled: Honoring a Traitor -- Hanoi Jane. It's about Jane Fonda and the horrible way she treated a group of our miliatary men quite some time ago. She betrayed not only the idea of our country but specific men who served and sacrificed during Vietnam. It says she is being promoted as "one of the onehundred women of the century". Just reading the e-mail brings back bad memories for many. However, it's time for a "Reality Check"! This promotion was long ago and everything about it all happened "a long time ago" In the Viet Nam War. Yet, every so often, someone digs up an old e-mail which "struck a nerve" everytime they read it, and they resend it. Well.... here again it keeps coming around in its usual cycles like the bad penny and when it does, it merely Stirs the "proverbial crock pot of excretion" and wires people up again all over something that has already happened. It's too late to stop it. This e-mail is giving this "pathetic excuse for a female" more publicity and publicity that she does not deserve. Give it a break folks! Find out the facts first before you decide to be your own Associated Press News Wire Authority.
